Go girl! This isn't something you see every day. The P-I's fashion section has the scoop on a girl only 19 years of age who plans to open a swanky Belltown fashion boutique by November. Brittany Sheft will call her boutique "Strut" and plans on selling hard to find items from Las Vegas to New York, giving shoppers a unique experience.

"I'm just really passionate about getting dressed. When I get dressed it's an art," says Brittany. "We're always looking for new styles. Seattle is kind of behind in fashion. Since we don't really have anywhere to shop here, and I'm so passionate about fashion, why not bring it here?"

H&M opens downtown

H&M's downtown location finally opens its doors this Thursday. If you're anything like me, you've been looking forward to having one of these stores in the neighborhood. They sell a wide variety of affordable and fashionable clothes.

Although the official opening of the store is scheduled for Thursday, apparently there is a pre-shopping event today featuring celeb DJ Samantha Ronson. I wonder if Lindsey Lohan will be there?

Have you visited Belltown's new grocery store yet?

As Belltowner reported last month, Belltown's first full service grocery store opened their doors this week. Kress IGA is equipped with baked goods, chocolate, cheese, flowers, pasta and even more from local providers.

Writes Seattlest of their visit to the store, "...we are pleased to report that the store offers lots of services and goodies...a display of asparagus at under a dollar per pound offered promise of good deals."

I'm on my way there now! Downtown has a grocery store! Yay!

Changes at Ian clothing shop

Ian, one of Belltown's best hotspots for cutting edge fashion sent out an email to their customers today, informing them they're changing things up a bit. Apparently all their women's merchandise is now moved to their Fremont location. As far as the Belltown store goes, they have transformed the entire top floor to sale items.

Today they begin their 30% off sale for brands including Splendid, Ever, Obedient Sons, Loden Dagger, and many more.

Belltown furniture stores closing

You may have noticed the "It's Gotta Go" furniture store on Western Avenue has closed, and now Urban Interiors on 1st Ave. will soon close as well, says the Seattle Times. Both stores are owned by the same family, as well as Continental Furniture and Thomasville on 1st Ave., which will stay open.

Singles shopping night at Whole Foods

I've always thought that the Whole Foods on Westlake is a hot spot for singles, but now it's official. Whole Foods along with The Stranger is throwing a singles shopping event this Wednesday night called, "How big is your basket?" Wine tasting begins at 6 p.m. and shopping at 7 p.m.
