'Cineroke!' at the Rendezvous

Karaoke meets cinema making for a pleasant evening of "Cineroke!" Pick a song from your favorite movie musical and the scene is projected on the screen. Sounds pretty fun to me. Nothing like a little Yentl and some beer!

Cineroke is October 13 from 7 to 10pm and is $5. For more info click here.

Drink and bid for a cure

That's right, drink while you bid! Seattle Networking group, Seattle Anti-Freeze, is throwing a silent auction at Rendezvous in Belltown next week. All funds will go to support breast cancer research at Susan G. Komen foundation. There is no cost for the event, however donations for the Susan G. Komen foundation are more than welcome.

The auction will take place next Wed October 01 from 8:00pm to midnight. For more information click here.

Belltown Methfest 2008

Forget Hempfest, tonight is "Methfest" at the Rendezvous Jewelbox theatre. Says the Seattle Weekly of the event, "Methfest is not a drug binge, but a collection of bands that provide the perfect soundtrack to inhaling noxious chemicals into your lungs. Unlike Methfest's herbal brother, there are no wafts of patchouli or dancing, tie-died flower children. Consider Methfest to be Hempfest's worst nightmare."

Sounds like something I just might miss myself, but if dark heavy tweeked out tunes are your kind of thing, the party starts tonight Thursday August 14 at 10:30pm.

Free show tonight at the Rendezvous

Tonight "The Endeavors" will be playing a free show at The Rendezvous Jewel Box Theatre. They will be filming sound and video for their upcoming release. "Wouldn't it be cool if you were in it?" reads their ad.

The show starts at 10pm. You can give their music a listen on their website by clicking here.

Sketch comedy troupe to perform at Rendezvous

"Legends in Their Own Minds: The Habit Strikes Back" will be running Fridays and Saturdays through March 29 at the Jewel Box Theater at the Rendezvous. The show is a reunion performance by members of The Habit, one of the best sketch comedy troupes to come out of sketch-rich Seattle. Together again for the first time in six years, eight Habit members promise to "bare their souls for your amusement" with a series of monologues that reveal "glorious triumph and crushing defeat." Tickets are $10 at the door.
