Monorail back in service

The Monorail is running again after a leaking air valved was replaced, but the PR black eye will take a while to heal.

Yesterday's shutdown forced emergency workers to remove people from the train, some via fire ladders. The Seattle Times print editions had a headline that fairly screamed, "200 rescued from monorail." Ouch.

Speaking of rescue, if you feel a riff coming on about the monorail vote, insert it here.

Monorail vote? Which one? If we'd built the damn thing when we first voted yes, we would be riding it today or early next year. Just in time for the high oil prices. But the developers were greedy and wanted all the properties that the Monorail committee was buying up for stations and things. So let's vote on it three or four more times until those properties are released and on the market. Then buy them for nothing and build more luxury condos we don't need and further price the middle class out of Seattle. Did I miss anything?
