Seattle's Sub Pop Records is throwing a two-day festival at Marymoor Park on July 12 & 13 and a comedy show tonight July 11 at 8pm at the Moore Theatre in Belltown. The events are in honor of the music label's big 20 year anniversary. Proceeds from ticket sales will go to beneficiaries of each participating act's choosing.
Sub-pop is famous for first signing Nirvana, Soundgarden, Mudhoney and many other bands from the Seattle grunge scene. They continue to run strong with popular bands such as The Postal Service and The Shins under their belts. It's pretty cool to see them still going strong 20 years into it.
