Whym Diner takes over Minnie's

I don't think I speak for myself when I say losing Belltown's favorite 24 hour restaurant was devastating. I kept wondering who would be taking over the old Minnies as I walked by and saw people building things and bustling around. Last week I was thrilled to see that there is a new 24 hour diner which has opened. They describe themselves as a "quirky contemporary diner." According to some reviews on Yelp, their grand opening didn't go so well. But I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they will work the kinks out over time.

First Cellar's, and then this? Why does every new place in Belltown have a bright, colorful logo that looks like it belongs in an eastside strip mall?

Why bother to go anywhere else than the 5 Point Cafe for 24 hour grub?

Don't forget to tip well the beautiful ladies and handsome gents who serve you with a smile...or not.

I ate here for lunch today. The food was ok. It wasn't all that memorable for the price but they've only been open a few days. I'll check em out in a month or two to see how things shape up. 1st impression: meh, it's somewhere new to eat.
