Northwest Folklife Festival kicks off this Friday

It's time for one of Seattle's biggest yearly events, The Northwest Folklife Festival. For those of you who are not familiar with Folklife Festival, it is "a festival with opportunities for individuals and communities of the Pacific Northwest to celebrate, share and sustain the vitality of folk, ethnic and traditional arts for present and future generations."

The event is totally free and is pretty fun.

The weather looks like it will be fairly sunny, so it should be a good time to hang outdoors. The festival begins May 23rd at the Seattle Center and lasts until the 26th.
